ABOUT The Territory

The Yukon is located in northwest Canada and is a wild, mountainous and sparsely populated territory. Yukon is home to Kluane National Park which includes Canada’s highest peak, Mount Logan, as well as glaciers, trails and the Alsek River.  

Roughly the same size as Spain, Yukon is home to 14 unique Indigenous communities and has been home to Indigenous peoples for roughly 12,000 years.  

Yukon’s capital is Whitehorse, home to just over 25,000 people. It holds the world record for the least air pollution of any city in the world.
